The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) is leading a study that believes the deep oceans are storing heat, slowing down Global Warming. Even though the overall temperature of Earth is increasing, there are hiatus periods where lots of energy are entering the oceans and stabilizing temperatures. These hiatus periods tend to go along with La Nina, where the water's surface cools in the tropical Pacific and warms up at higher latitudes. This maybe why Global Warming is not increasing constantly.
Global Warming is caused by pollution from greenhouse gases and fossil fuels. We are in the 21st century and the global temperature is likely to increase by 2.7 to 3.4*F and up to 6.1 to 11*F. Global Warming will change the amount of precipitation and the sea level will rise. Ways we are trying to reduce Global Warming are removing greenhouse gases and reducing emissions.
I feel that Mother Earth has a way of fixing herself and the oceans are a way she is trying to put a stop to Global Warming. Even so, I truly hope that we continue to try to help Earth. There is only one Earth. We all should be doing our part to save and protect it.
